FTC State Tournament

On Saturday, February 28, twenty-four high school level robotics teams from around the state, including Team Duct Tape,  will compete at the Florida FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) State Tournament for awards and a chance to go the FIRST World Championship event in Atlanta in April. The USF event is free and open to the public, and provides a great opportunity for everyone to learn more about the FIRST robotics program.

In addition to the field competition, teams have an opportunity to be recognized for their Engineering notebooks, for exhibiting Gracious Professionalism, for quality designs and inventiveness, for community outreach and for their team spirit, as part of the overall FIRST goal of instilling important values like teamwork, creativity, innovation, and the value of the engineering design processes.

Opening ceremonies are at 10am, and qualifying and elimination matches run throughout the day. Visit the Florida FIRST Tech Challenge website at http://www.flfirst.org for more information.
