This Saturday, May 16, Team Duct Tape is kicking off our ProEngineer education with a look at:
- ProE basics, using the Carnegie Mellon ProEngineer Introduction introducing how to access part files, manipulate displays, and orient parts;
- Windchill basics; and
- Introduction to Component Assembly
The following week, we’ll
- Explore component assembly further; and
- Introduce the engineering drawing features of ProE
We’ll be joined by some students from other area teams, including Team 429 from Berkeley Prep, interested in employing ProEngineer in their new season design process. We’re hopeful these two tutorial meetings will give us the necessary basics to make the most of our May 28 visit to McCormick-Stevenson, whose engineers have generously agreed to give us some real hands-on guidance in the use of ProE.
We’re looking forward to all the new possibilities CAD offers!
