Thank you, Mr. Markun, for our magnificent cart!
We started off the day in St. Pete, at Tampa Technik, picking up our finished cart, which is a thing of shiny beauty! Then headed back to Odessa for a scrimmage date with Alonso High School’s Force Applied and team Smoke and Mirrors , for a shared practice session before we all head out to Atlanta next week.
It was a tight fit, but teams managed to get students and robots into one suburban garage, no doubt to neighbors’ great amusement and curiosity. As is often the case, the practice produced a mixed bag of results, but everyone learned something useful and teams hunkered down to tweak and work for the rest of the afternoon.

The day tested skills from programming to sewing and, for TDT, went far into the night, working on everything from pit decorations and give-aways to organizing our new cart.
Team members will meet via Skype later this afternoon, and hope to have their Engineering notebook entries completed by Monday. Then it’s off to Atlanta, for part of the team n Tuesday, and the rest on Wednesday. We’re excited to be sharing this adventure with Force Applied and Smoke and Mirrors and look forward to a full and exciting week!
