Team Duct Tape has room for four new students this fall. Our community based team is comprised of public, private and homeschooled high school students, ages 14-18, from the Odessa (Pasco/NW Hillsborough) area. We’re kicking off our third season in August, and invite interested students to check out our website and consider applying to be a team member.
We’d especially love to have some girls on board. No previous experience necessary, just an interest in science, math, engineering or technology. FIRST offers millions of dollars in scholarships to participating students each year. TDT members invest a considerable amount of time in their team — 4-8 hours a week, depending on competition schedules – but the return on your investment is enormous: We visit area engineering firms and tech businesses, work with a lot of professionals in a variety of fields ranging from engineering to graphic design to business management, everyone eats well and we enjoy a lot of fun together!
