Super excited to be heading to the 2017 South Super Regional in Athens, GA March 23-25, after being part of the Winning Alliance with teams Super 7 and Mechromancers at the Florida FIRST Tech Challenge State Championship a few weeks ago!
We’re very grateful to the Tampa Bay Robotics Foundation for defraying event registration costs, but we still need to pay for travel, food and lodging. To help reduce costs for families, we’re holding a Game Night Fundraiser Friday, March 17 at our new home at Regency Park Library in New Port Richey.
It’s a donation based fundraiser, totally free to
attend and play games, enjoy some food and see TDT’s 2017 robot, built for the Velocity Vortex game.
Give what you can, if you can, and if you can’t give, just come play with us and see why FIRST Tech Challenge is such an awesome engineering competition.
Hopefully you’ve been keeping up with the FIRST Tech Challenge blog in the last few weeks, and if you have, you might have seen some allusions to game hints there, like on July 1 for instance. Check out some of the posts after that, too, to see if anything looks promising. Even you don’t see any game hints, you’ll get lots of good information for you new season.
Either way, you’ve got from now until September 9 to enter your best guess for the 2016-17 FIRST Tech Challenge game. The team that comes closest to the actual game wins a handmade duct tape gift! (Last year’s winner took home an awesome RD D2 made out of duct tape.)
Good luck, and Go Teams!
Have you been following the FIRST Tech Challenge Blog?
Seen any clues? We’re not sure either, but if you want to take a stab at what you think this year’s game is, enter it on our online form and the closest guess – at the local Florida kick off and one out of state guess – will win some awesome duct tape thing!
In the past, we’ve had messenger bags, and last year, we gave away a cool Captain America Duct Tape Shield to the winner!
So whaddaya waiting for! Browse that blog for some possible clues and give us your best guess by September 11th!
