Team Duct Tape will be representing FIRST Tech Challenge at Learning is for Everyone’s annual LIFE Fest Celebration of Learning conference, on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. This year, Learning is for Everyone has a room dedicated to FIRST robotics, that will feature Jr. FLL, FLL, FTC and FRC teams and information about FIRST in Florida. Steve Nies will be joining us, to let folks know about his Robot Portal, and we hope to provide a great opportunity for families to get up close and personal with FIRST.
Check out the program schedule at www.Learningis4everyone.org and come by and visit with us!
We’ve added a Robotics BlogRoll at the bottom right, to help you keep up with the latest developments in robotics. Enjoy! Team 2845 will be adding information, news and resources throughout the season, about all aspects of robotics. So visit our site regularly, or subscribe via the feed options at right.
If you take a look down the right hand side of our blog, you’ll see a section called “Links of Interest”. We’ve just added some very cool resources there, including:
“This is an organized collection material that is related to Science, Engineering and Technology. It is intended to be used in 9th grade science classes, roobotics classes and robotics clubs. This material could be used as resources to augment a textbook or could be used with out a textbook.”
And a great article called, “Teaching with Robots ” ( http://www.botmag.com/articles/01-18-06_Teaching_With_Robots.shtml) from Robot Magazine.
