TDT Enjoys some FLL Time
Team Duct Tape members headed over to the Hillsborough High School Regional FIRST LEGO League Tournament Saturday
morning, to cheer on FLL Teams Brick Buddies and TechnoForce , whom we’ve worked with and mentored. It was fun seeing all that raw FLL energy, and we had to head back to TDT HQ all too soon for our own meeting that afternoon.
But we’re happy to report that Technoforce earned 3rd place in Project Research (check out their great video) and are a 1st alternate for the FLL State Championship at Florida Institute of Technology on February 27.
And Brick Buddies won the Champion’s Award , the top FLL award for the team that most “passionately inspires and motivates others about the excitement of science and technology, solving problems, working as a team, and demonstrating respect and Gracious Professionalism.” Brick Buddies moves on to the Florida FLL State Championship at FIT, where we know they’ll do great! Congratulations, Brick Buddies!
We’re so proud of both these great teams, who so terrifically exemplify all that’s so wonderful about FIRST robotics! Go Teams!

Team Duct Tape is delighted to report that both of the FLL teams we’ve helped mentor – Brick Buddies and TechnoForce – did great at their first competitions, held the same weekend as Middleton Madness, and are both proceeding to the Regionals in February. Brick Buddies won the Champions award.
We’re very proud of and happy for both teams! Congratulations!
